Extraction of gum and frankincense tree resin
The mastic goddess is a green shrub from the goddess family, common mainly in the Mediterranean basin.
This plant has a resin with a strong aroma, which was used in the folk medicine of the Middle East and ancient Greece.
Frankincense is also a source of rubber and aromatic resin emanating from under the bark of the tree trunk, which originated in India.
